Ageo Cortés, a third-generation mezcal master distiller from Mengoli de Morelos, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico, is not afraid to take risks. With his father, uncles, cousins, and nephews, he crafts mezcal using traditional methods that have been passed down for centuries. Ageo personally gathers the agaves from his land, and this batch of Maguey Verde (Agave karwinskii) is a limited edition of only 100 liters made in 2024. • Mengoli de Morelos, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico - located 1500 meters above sea level
• Roasted in truncated conical earthen oven 
• Tahona crushed 
• Fermented in open air sabino barrels with natural yeast using well water 
• One distillation in Filipino style copper pot still with condenser (no water added)
• 53% ABV
• 100 liters produced
